To do that, move your sims 4 folder ( that is in Documents -Electronic Arts - then the sims 4 folder is there ) to the desktop. Then start the game, and a new sims 4 folder will be generated. Test the game you can then add back your files from the sims 4 folder you put at desktop back int the new sims 4 file you created. Im not sure about your error that is something I have never had.
