WebIf for whatever reason you can’t get it to work, I like to use a zombie-less iron farm. You just need 5 villagers with beds and clear out the spawn area around them. Only a certain percent of zombies have the ability to pick up items - 20% on hard, 7% on normal, 1% on easy; zombies with initially naturally spawned 'rare drop' items (potatoes, iron ingots) don't count - it must be any item picked up after spawning. WebI used a portal based farm with 12 villagers so that the IGs would only stay in the overworld for 1-2 seconds before it goes to the nether to get burned.
