WebI had this exact issue running windows 10. If you havent done this, this fixed my crashing to desktop. logon or signup on flightsim.com. Click on "must have files" and scroll down to FSX. Download "uiautomationcore.dll". Place the actual .dll file into your main fsx folder. load fsx. Every since I didnt this never had another crash to desktop.
